Hello, and welcome to the first edition of my newsletter that I almost certainly should have started at least two years ago. With Twitter’s increasing hostility and Instagram’s volatility, I’ve finally accepted that I need a more stable platform. And, although I am a women of many talents, who keeps herself busy with a myriad of hobbies, writing is not currently one of them so I intend for these letters to be short, sweet, and pertinent.

As you might have caught on I’ve become quite fond of NYC over the last few years, which has as much to do with the undeniable charm of the city as it does the quality of patronage I experience there. Most recently, I was in town for five perfectly frigid days in December that flew by much too quickly, despite the nearly arctic windchill. I snagged bar seats at my favorite restaurant, The Four Horsemen, finally went up to see The Cloisters, ate my weight in Swedish candy from BonBon, saw the opening show of Bug, which I was so enchanted by that I’m going back to see it with friends in a few weeks, and to top it all off, I was once again successfully bribed to extend my trip with Knicks tickets.

That said... I can’t stay away for long and I’m already planning my return. I’ll be in town this February, from the 6th to the 13th, and, luckily for you I still have a little room in my calendar.

If you don’t live in NYC, and wish I was visiting your city instead: the absolute easiest way to influence my itinerary aside from the usual chivalry, is with good seats to a basketball game. Unless you want me to root for the Thunder, which I am morally and spiritually opposed to doing until and quite possibly after the Wolves win a chip. I am also amenable to good seats at other sporting events, for instance, even though I have a long, well documented love of watching sweaty millionaires in colorful jerseys fight each other, I have somehow never been to a hockey game, and I would very much like for someone to change that this year.

To make my acquaintance, in any city, familiarize yourself with my website before reaching out via email at [email protected].

xoxo Maya
